What is biodegradable material plastic?

Plastics of biodegradable materials are mainly composed of natural macromolecular materials (such as starch, cellulose, chitin) or agricultural and sideline products, through the alcoholization of microorganisms, or biodegradable polymers synthesized by thermoplastic starch plastics, aliphatic polyester, polylactic acid, starch, polyvinyl alcohol, etc.
 

Plastics can be degraded and dissolved by biological reactions, and then completely degraded into carbon dioxide, water and other new substances. Heavy metal content, toxicity test and residue of compost should meet relevant international standards and national standards.
 

At present, the European Union EN13432 standard and the United States standard have been widely used in the international standards and international certification standards for the biodecomposition of plastics. According to EU standard EN13432, materials and products that are fully biodegradable must meet four requirements.
 

1. After the material or product has been composted for three months, 90% of the plastic must be dissolved into particles smaller than 2mm.
 

2. Within 180 days (90 days),90% of the material or product must be degraded and converted to carbon dioxide water.
 

3. The material or product must comply with the strict national restrictions on the content of heavy metals.
 

4. The quality of toxicological test results must ensure environmental reliability.
